How to connect an Android Application to Microsoft Azure?
Hello guys in this tutorial i will teach you how to make a simple Android Application connected with Microsoft Azure. Azure is a cloud computing service and platform provided by Microsoft. It help you create virtual devices, servers, mobile services and much much more. Its a pay as go service. You only pay for what you use. However Microsoft offers a 30 days free trail. If you dont have Azure, get it here. TRY FREE MICROSOFT AZURE . By the end of this tutorial you will learn the basics of how to connect Android Application to Microsoft Azure.
Once you have sign up for Microsoft azure account. You will see the dashboard like this:
Click on Mobile Service and then Click on New
Click on New button and navigate to create:
Click on Create and a box will pop up, fill these as follows:
Make sure the location of your server and your service should be in same Region.
It will take some time to create your mobile service, once that created click on it.
Click on create new android application and then create a to do table. It will basically set up a sample table automatically.
Click on the download button. Extract the Android Application and Run it on Android Studio. Check how to make an Android Emulator Here.
Add something in the Application
Go under your data tab with in Microsoft Azure. And then go check your table.
Also try to check your item you added in the android emulator. Notice that complete status changes from false to true in Microsoft Azure.
